Consists of the following: a list of Harvard contracts; statements concerning policies and procedures for administering contract records; correspondence relating to the handling of these records, including letters to and from the U.S. Office of Scientific Research and Development; two reports and one article on the history of the office; a financial statement; and items from the 1946 exhibit on Harvard's participation in the war. The War Archives Office existed between 1945 and 1947 for the purpose of collecting and processing, under the supervision of Robert W. Lovett, records of war contracts and other war-related activities at Harvard.
